Spring brings fun theatre and play production!  Take one or more classes for intensive workshops, age appropriate acting, music, and dancing.

PLAY PRODUCTION
Featuring: The Princess and the Pea 
Wednesdays Jan 11 - Mar 29, 2017

​Play Production Class: “The Pied Piper of Hamelin” Ages 8-16
Work as a team producing this comic version of the classic tale. Bring the story to life creating characters, songs and movement, with solo opportunities. Experience every part of putting on a play, from
auditioning to performing. Our team will also create the scenery. Join the fun! A showcase will be presented on the last day of class.

Vocal Music Workshop 
for Middle & High School 
Jan 14 - Mar 18, 2017

Discover your true voice! Students will learn the backbone of good singing technique to help unlock their best sound in a healthy, sustainable way. Vocal exercises explore the technical basics of breath support, mask resonance, and proper alignment. Techniques will be applied to audition or performance materials. A showcase performance will be presented at session’s end.

Story Book Theater Adventures

Exercising their natural creativity through movement, vocal work, games, and improvisation, students will portray beloved STORYBOOK characters, while gaining confidence and presence on stage.

COMEDY IMPROV THEATRE
for Middle and High School
Jan 10 - Mar 28, 2017

Learn improvisational skills that are applicable to all areas of theatre, including active listening, quick thinking, and making strong choices. Gain self-confidence on stage and off. A showcase, in the same framework used by professional improv troupes, will be presented on the last day of class.

Treasure Trunk Theater

Open the trunk to  discover the spark that inspires that day's interactive adventure.  Each day's adventure builds into a story that we create and act out.  Students learn to join together and use their voices, bodies, and imaginations to overcome many dramatic challenges.

Cabaret-by-the-Sea
Mar 26 - May 21, 2017

The art of Cabaret is a basic combination of Acting, Singing and Personal Expression - all the while engaging the audience. Explore and develop these 3 elements to make choices that are personal, while maintaining the musicality and integrity of any song.  Discover what a song means to you, and how you wish to tell the story from your own truth. Expect to learn tools, techniques, and applications in Acting, Singing, Memorization, Basic use of microphones, and Basic Movement.
Please bring 2 copies of songs you would like to work on.
